Katarina Appel Schultz
Katarina is a writer, creator, advocate and MSW student.
She currently works for Online DBT Skills, moderating virtual skills groups, answering students’ questions and running social media. She has also reorganized and rewritten all the content for DBTSelfHelp.com’s renovated site, set to debut this spring. It is the largest free Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) on the web. Katarina also co-created the blog DBT Skills, which makes DBT accessible to all.
Katarina lives and writes at the intersection of media, mental health and hope. They hope to unite the three in their future practice as a social worker.
Katarina lives in Los Angeles with her many plants and one cat. She adores sunflowers, learning about social justice, and shotgunning audiobooks.
Katarina uses both she/her and they/them pronouns.
